GTAIV DLC episode 2 coming no later than October 2009

Take-Two have published their Q1 Earning Announcement today, including a list of games they plan on publishing before their financial year is over. The biggest entry on the list has to be Grand Theft Auto IV Second Episode (Xbox 360).

The company also listed the likes of Borderlands, Bioshock 2, Mafia II, and the recently announced Red Dead Redemption in the same report, citing the all should appear in the remainder of fiscal 2009.

That means, that unless the games listed suffer a dely, Take-Two plan on publishing them sometime before October 31th 2009 – which is when the company’s fiscal year ends.

A 2nd downloadable episode for the 360? Yeeeaaaah… but what about the PS3?

Sorry, Microsoft paid 50 million for two episodes so the first 2 will remain 360 exclusive, future episodes will probably be multiplatform

  3. Think about it. u think T2 would allow something that sold 2 million copies to stay 360 exclusive. I guarantee that 2 or 3 months after the 2nd GTA DLC comes out it will b announced for PS3

Microsoft paid $50 million for DOWNLOADABLE exclusivity. Meaning that neither of the GTA: IV episodes will EVER be allowed on the PSN for download.

However rumour is that Take – Two plan to release a retail version of the DLC sometime in 2010 – for the 360 AND the PS3. Basically – this content IS coming to the PS3…….just not for a good while.

  5. I’ll believe it when I see it. Rockstar seem to like to set down release dates a bit far in advance for my liking, and they missed the intially-mentioned release dates for GTA IV and TLAD by quite a way.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that I dont think we’ll see this second piece of DLC by October.

  6. why do this 2 ps3 fan! this shit isn’t right playstation fan! how do let xbox bullshit do that.

  7. microsoft was charged $50 mil they didnt bribe for exclusive dlc. ps3 would have got it for free but sony wanted a whole new game from rockstar

  8. @ Zack where the F*** did you get that bullshit? Microsoft most certainly paid Rockstar for the exclusive content, THEY went to Rockstar for it. They offered Rockstar 50million to keep it exclusive to X360 you tool. Microcrap dod the same thing for Tomb Raider Underworld and Fallout 3. Get your facts straight!
