GTA IV censored in Australia

gtaivratedaussie_news.jpg

Sorry Aussie’s, but it seems you will not be getting the same GTA IV that other parts of the world will be getting their hands on later this month, as it has been confirmed portions of the game will be censored for its release in the country.

No confirmation on what content will have to be cut has been revealed as of yet, but Rockstar have confirmed a “special version” of the game was submitted for rating in the country, and that version got an MA 15+ from the Office of Film and Literature Classification, which is currently the highest a game can get in Australia under current rules.

If you a PS3 gamer and want to experience the uncut version then your best bet is to import a copy from elsewhere, although that may cost you a bit more. However, if you are 360 game things might be a bit more difficult for you, as it has not been confirmed if that version will be region free as of yet.
