Rockstar Games have announced that they’re bringing two games to the iPhone and iPod Touch this year. The biggest news is that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will somehow be made to work on the buttonless handheld. Once a DS-exclusive, Chinatown Wars is also coming to the PSP this autumn.
Rockstar founder Sam Houser described the game as a “perfect match” for the handhelds, adding, “We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple’s new gaming platforms.”
The other title coming to iPhone is Beaterator, a music-mixing program, co-produced by Timbaland, that’s currently in the works for PSP and PSN. “The simple, pick-up-and-play nature of Beaterator lends itself so well to the Apple platforms,” said Houser.
Both of these games will be hitting the App Store later this autumn.
