
During their press conference at the Tokyo Game Show, Sony have revealed that Gran Turismo 5 will not see release until March 2010 in Japan – and presumedly somewhat later in Europe and US.
Shawn Layden, SCEJ President, went onto comment that the game will boast over 950 cars, 20 locations and 70 tracks – including the Alps, Nurbergring, Southern Italy, Tokyo.
Online modes will see a big update, with open lobbies, full text/voice chat, private gaming rooms, online shareable photo albums, online replay albums, and exportable replays to YouTube.
In regards to gameplay, Layden went onto say the game will have brand new physics, an altered damage model, multiple movable objects on the track, and the newest hybrid and electric cars to race in.
