Play.com LIVE offering insane prizes this weekend

Set to be one of the largest gaming events ever to grace the UK, Play.com Live kicks off this weekend at Wembley, and not only will visitors have a chance to get their grubby mitts on upcoming games such as Lego Indiana Jones, Rock Band, and Soul Caliber 4 – they’ll also be able to try their hand at one of many competitions being run, the prizes for which are quite frankly phenomenal…

Ubisoft are offering holidays to Vegas to celebrate the release of their latest Rainbow 6 offering, while the finest Soul Caliber player has at driving away in a brand new Dodge Nitro. As if that wasn’t enough, Lucasarts are also giving away a 360, a 32″ HD telly, and a copy of Lego Indiana Jones for the visitor sharp enough to spot a hidden ‘X’ located somewhere in the show, and Activision have added £5000 worth of play.com vouchers into the mix too.

Oh, and Midway are putting up £20,000 for the best Unreal Tournament 3 player, and £30,000 for the best clan. And there’s the weekly salary of a football player for a year (£50,000) for the best Pro Evo player. Did i forget to mention there’s also £50,000 on offer from Konami?

Of course if none of this is enough to entice then there’s also a signed Peter Crouch shirt for whoever has the best real-life footie skills. But I mean really, if you’re not sold already then you’re either mental or must have the hand to eye coordination of an otter.
