First pics of DJ Hero controller

In 2008 Activision acquired UK developer FreeStyleGames to further develop their presence in the music rhythm genre. The first pictures of the controller for their turntable simulator DJ Hero have emerged. Gameplay is expected to along the lines of Guitar Hero but feature a more “contemporary” music style.

DJ Hero has been in development for quite some time now; back in September Kotaku reported the game would “let gamers scratch to the beat of popular mash-ups with a laptop turntable peripheral”.

In that original report, DJ Hero was said to include the ability to incorporate Guitar Hero peripherals into versus mode face-offs and feature mash-ups such as Beyonce Vs Jimi Hendrix.

There have already been many iterations of the controller, but the ones pictured below were released on the DJHero twitter account.
