Far Cry 2 leaked via torrent, US copy is region free

It seems Far Cry 2 is the latest game to make its way onto the internet ahead of its official release, with three separate torrents available to download at the time of writing this. Two of them weigh in at 6.7GB and another at just over 7GB. We have no idea what the difference is though.
This news comes less than a week after Fallout 3 suffered a similar fate – although it was leaked almost three weeks early.
If there is one bit of good news that comes from the leak, then it is that the US copy is region free. This means that us Euro folk can import the game from the US and not put as big a dent in out pocket as usual.
Far Cry 2 is scheduled to hit Euro shores on PC, 360 and PS3 on October 24.

^^ answer: to protest SecuROM. I would gladly pay way more than £35 for Far Cry 2, but if paying that means i also get the free spyware ‘SecuROM’, then no thankyou.

^^Totally the DRM
I seriously want this game, I’m also seriously considering waiting to buy it used (on console) just to protest the DRM (yes, I know, on PC).
We need stop caving to this nonsense, or it will continue to propagate and escalate. It’s not serving anyone. That said, I way want this game.
As for the elephant in the room; Does anybody remember how poorly Farcry 1 “steered” on xbox or 360. I hate aim assist and turned them both (yes there were 2) on and it was still pants. Does anyone have faith in these people finally figuring out thumbsticks (hint: see LostPlanet)?
