Fallout 3 won’t make it to Australia

As you most likely already know (especially if you live over there), Australia adopts a different rating system for games than it does for movies, and as a result no game can get a rating over MA 15+. So, if a game is deemed to have content that exceeds the guidelines of that rating, it is not rated in the country, which effectively means it gets banned as it’s illegal to sell a game without a rating emblazoned on it.

As you can most likely see by the headline, yet another game has fallen foul of the archaic ruling, and it seems Fallout 3 will not be making its way to the country - at least not in its current form. The sticking point is the use of Morphine by the main character as a healthpack.

This coming from a country founded on the backs of convicts and criminals?! How do they go on with Trauma Centre or Sim Hospital?! How dense… to allow the delivery of narcotics in GTA4 but not the self medication of morphine?! I thought the Ozzies were more laid back than that!
