Epic cuts price on ‘Dark Corners,’ pushes ‘All Fronts’ to Xbox Live Marketplace

Earlier this month we brought you details of the upcoming downloadable content for Gears of War 2, but it seems that Epic has had a little change of heart since then.

Speaking to IGN,  Epic Games senior producer Rod Fergusson explained that some consumers were unhappy with the pricing of the new Dark Corners DLC, which contains seven new multiplayer maps and a campaign chapter.

Originally Dark Corners was to be priced at 1600 MS points (£13.60), but that has now been reduced to 1200 MS points (£10.20). Also the All Fronts compilation of all previous DLC will now only be available online through the Xbox Live Marketplace for just 1600 points.

This pricing seems much more reasonable, especially as people who haven’t bought any DLC for Gears 2 yet can now essentially get the original two map packs for just 400 points (£3.40).
