Edge doing 200 unique covers for issue 200

Edge has revealed that to celebrate its 200th issue, they will be printing 200 different covers based on various games released over the years. Link, Master Chief, Mario and Sonic are all there, along with less famous faces from the industry.

There is an Earthbound one in there too, which will probably be one of the biggies to make a killing on eBay down the line. Streets of Rage, Outrun, Sensible Soccer, Punch Out, Tetris, Pikmin, Lost Winds, Parappa, Mega Man and more are all in there to.

Subscribers to the magazine will get the exclusive 200th design, which was custom-produced for Edge by Media Molecule based on LittleBigPlanet. The other 199 will be available from the usual places good magazines are sold, but the one that comes to your local will be completely random.

The magazine will be going on sale Thursday March 12, which will also be the day you will complain you did not get the one you wanted.
