EA’s secret game likely to be Army of Two: The 40th Day

It seems all signs are pointing to EA’s big March 12th announcement being a sequel to Army of Two.

Firstly, French gaming site, JeuxVideo, have posted a new gamepage on their site, which lists an upcoming game called Army Of Two : Le 40ème Jour. Anyone who has spent even a few minutes paying attention in French classes will tell you this directly translates to Army of Two: The 40th Day

Futhermore, PlayStation LifeStyle did some snooping, and found this page on the official Army of Two website. The logo on the page is not much in itself, but PL did a bit more snooping on the source page and found some interesting coding on the site. For example they found the phrase, “Army to Two. The definitive third person co-op shooter is back” and they found the name “Army of Two: TFD

If you put the details from these two sites together, in particular comparing the two similar names which came from different sources, then you get near rock solid evidence that come March 12th EA will be revealing a game called Army of Two: The 40th Day.

We gave the first Army of Two a 7/10 in our review back in early 2008, so we hope this game improves a bit on the first.

Oohh I can smell the testosterone now…. I found the first to be alright, but it didn’t really blow me away. Wonder if they’ll improve on it much with this next outing?
