Duke Nukem Forever Trailer At 6pm GMT

Currently TEN YEARS in development and battling it out with Guns n Roses “Chinese Democracy” album for the title of “most delayed thing ever”, Duke’s sequel was looking as likely as a sequel to Titanic. However, George Broussard of 3DRealms took some time out from playing Team Fortress 2 to post this statement on their official website.

“Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise,” explained Broussard. “It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever. After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it’s just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.”

Well, I never. Surely this is the first sign of the apocalypse? Either way, we’ll find out when they post the teaser at 12CST, or 6pm GMT for us here in England.

EDIT: It is OUT, and with a HUGE amount of irony, a whole hour early. It’s available over at Shacknews but it is being hammered right now. Good luck!

Christ... you'd think they'd just admit they'd fucked up and call it a day, eh?

Nah man. Have some faith. It is the DUKE. The original game came out just when FPS games had started to get stale and po-faced and was a big shot of colour into the genre. I think it is a perfectly good time for the same to happen again.

Ahhhh but it won't work this time! The macho bull that's spawned crap like GoW was born from stuff like Duke Nukem- when/if forever comes out it's just gonna look like a walking cliche! It'll be rubbish, i'd bet my hands.
