Dragon Age: Inquisition Epilogue DLC Incoming

This weekend at Pax Prime Bioware took to the stage to announce a new piece of DLC for their critically acclaimed game Dragon Age: Inquisition. The DLC, which is called Trespasser, will act as an epilogue to the main game set two years after its story ended. Mike Laidlaw, the games creative director, said Trespasser’s story will explore “what it’s like to be a world-saving organization when the world no longer needs saving.” The DLC will offer closure on Inquisitions main story as players meet up with “old friends” in an effort to “uncover a new threat.” In the end players will be forced to decide the faith of the Inquisition they spent so long putting together. Trespasser will launch on the 8th of September but players must beat the main games story in order to access it.

A new patch for Inquisition was also announced at Pax Prime although it’s only coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game, last gen gamers are receiving no special attention. The patch will be completely free and on top of bug fixes, etcetera, there will also be two new things added to the game. Firstly the “Golden Nug” is a statue that will appear, in the Skyhold Undercroft, when players beat the game. By clicking on the statue players will be allowed to sync their collectables across game-saves. After you sync with the statue in one save you can load up another save and find the Golden Nug statue in the Undercroft and Haven to receive your collectables. This kind of acts as a new game plus substitute allowing players to give their items from an end-game save to another character. Laidlaw says the sync works with items such as schematics (including those from DLC), potion recipies (but not upgrades), mounts and Skyhold decorations. Besides the Golden Nug the patch is also giving the Skyhold wardrobe an upgrade. Once the game patches head to your wardrobe to find multiple new outfits of varying colours.

If you’ve already finished Dragon Age: Inquisition and don’t think this DLC is enough to satisfy your fantasy RPG needs then it might be worth checking out the Witcher 3, which DarkZero has you covered with a review of. However, what if you’re a fantasy RPG monster who has already achieved 100% in both Dragon Age and The Witcher and knows they’ll tear right through the new Trespasser DLC without breaking a sweat? Well then The Witcher 3 has you covered with two brand new large expansion packs, lasting around thirty hours between them, on the horizon for you to sink your teeth into.
