David Jaffe’s Big News Is A New Studio

After David Jaffe hyping up the news on his blog over the course of the past week the secret is finally out as Sony have revealed that both David Jaffe, a former creative director for SCEA’s Santa Monica Studios, and Scott Campbell, the founder of Incognito Entertainment, have joined together to form a new studio called Eat, Sleep, Play, based in Utha The new studio has also singed a multi-year, multi-title deal to create titles for the PS2, PSP and PS3, the first brand new game is slated for release in 2008.

In addition to the multi-year, multi-title deal to create new titles, the company will also be creating, or should we say remaking, Twisted Metal: Head On for PlayStation 2, which is scheduled to be released this winter. Twisted Metal: Head On will feature lost levels from the never released Twisted Metal: Black Part II and a documentary on the series.

We are extremely pleased to be working with David and Scott and supporting them in their new endeavor,” said Shuhei Yoshida, senior vice president, product development, SCEA. “Through hit after hit, they have established themselves as two of the most talented individuals this industry has ever seen, and I look forward to seeing what kind of further gaming innovation they can bring to the PlayStation brand through our new development deal.

Because of this I may not be able to hate Sony forever, even though they single handedly ruined the PAL release of Twisted Metal Black and cut out the entire story because they the characters were insane. I was a massive fan of Twisted Metal 2. TM Black was one of the reasons I got a PS2. TM Head On has 80% on GameRankings has anyone here played it? How does it compare to the past games?
