Console version of Street Fighter IV gets a release date

Capcom Europe has confirmed that Street Fighter IV will be coming to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on the 20th February 2009. “Let the countdown commence”, said the publisher with noticeable glee. So, console gamers have a little over 13 weeks to wait until they can get their hands on Chun-Li’s buttons.

Since the highly-acclaimed Japanese arcade release of Producer Yoshinori Ono’s 3D-rendered 2D fighter, the console versions have been highly anticipated. Although not 100% confirmed, it seems almost certain that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will feature the total of 25 characters that DarkZero reported last week.

Capcom also previously announced that Street Fighter IV would be coming to PC, but there has been no word on when in 2009 that version may be released.
