COD: World at War Map Pack 1 coming to PC, it’s free too

Josh Olin, Community Manager at Treyarch has confirmed that the PC version of Map Pack 1 for Call of Duty: World at War will be made available for free on PC.  The same DLC went live mid-March for 360 and PS3 at a price of 800 Microsoft Points (€9.99 | £7.99). The DLC set new records on Xbox Live, selling over 1 million copies in the first week of availability.

The Map Pack will be made available as part of Patch 1.4, which will include many fixes for the PC version of the game. There is no confirmed date for the patch as of yet.

Additionally, you’ll be happy to know that Map Pack 1 will be completely free for PC users, and included in the Patch 1.4 installer,” he comments in a forum update.

The pack contains three new maps – Nightfire, Station, and Knee Deep – for the game competitive multiplayer, and new options for the Nazi Zombie mode called Zombie Verruckt, which will be based on the Asylum multiplayer map already available.

Zombie Verruckt unlocks new options if played in four player mode, which split players into teams of two. placing them at opposite ends of the map, and challenging them to reunite.

We gave Call of Duty: World at War 7/10 in our review last year.
