
If you are a fan of JRPGs and were awaiting more news on Cry On, the upcoming Mistwalker RPG for the 360, then this Christmas season brings some bad tidings, as the game has been cancelled. The theme of Cry On was supposed to revolved around tears, both of sadness and joy, with players taking control of a main character called Sally to work there way through scenarios that promised to be emotional.
“The current market environment and taking into account the outlook for the future lineup of titles” lead to the cancellation according to games designer, Kimihiko Fujisaka. [We know] everyone was looking forward [to the game, and we] deeply apologize“.
Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu were two of the big names working on Cry On. Their previous works were the producer and scenario writer and composer of certain games in the Final Fantasy series respectively.
