Championship Manager 2009 hit with delay

Eidos have revealed they’ve delayed Championship Manager 2009 until at least the start of the company’s next financial year – which begins on 1st July. The delay means fans will have around another 3 months of waiting, if not more, to play the game, as it was originally set to ship on 24th April on PC.

“Eidos has a total commitment to producing the highest quality games and we believe by moving the release date of Championship Manager we will give the product the additional time needed to deliver a more polished and highly competitive game within the genre,” remarks Eidos CEO Phil Rogers in a statement regarding the delay.

“We will not compromise on quality and we are confident that this decision is right for consumers and will benefit the continued popularity of this franchise.“
