C&C Red Alert hitting iPhone later this month

EA have announced they will release an iPhone/iPod Touch version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert this month. It looks like the game will be single-player only upon launch, with EA boasting 12 single-player “combat levels” are included. However, like many other games on the App Store, multiplayer could be introduced with a patch at a later date.

Eurogamer have a bunch of screenies up if you wish to gawk at them. They certainly look very Command & Conquery, although with the limitations you’d expect from a handheld game. The game has the touch controls you’d expect, along with the option for zooming in and out via pinching.
