Bravo’s GamerTV comes to an end

We liked GamerTV, so it is sad to see it go. Sure, it had its share of problems, with most stemming from the fact that they had loads of spoilers in every review they did. However, we still liked what we saw, and seeing as the UK has a huge shortage of good games coverage it was a haven for many.

The show even managed to get some nice exclusives in the latter episodes. Having early reviews of many games and getting some scoops on the likes of Haze, along with a few other titles. Sam Delaney also had a really cool voice!

The news of the show’s cancellation came unexpectedly, with Delaney himself commenting at the start of the latest show that “after six years” the show would be coming to and end ,and that “this is the last episode of GamerTV

If you are still looking for some gaming coverage on Bravo, you’ll be happy to hear they’re reportedly planning something new in the future. On the official site of the channel it was commented that a “NEW gaming show [is] coming VERY soon” and it “will be even better”.

We won’t believe it until wee see it, but the new show is apparently being made by the same people, so if you liked the look and feel of GamerTV their new effort should be somewhat interesting to you.

    NOOOOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOoooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOO.

Quite liked that show. Damnit. That Gamer.TV Extras was shit though. Ruined a perfectly good format by having some obnoxious American. Hope that whatever the new show is they keep Delaney on.

I couldn’t believe my ears when I tuned in yesterday morning! Cancelling the onyl show I liked watching! Damn you Bravo!

I hope the new show is as good if not better… just get rid of that annoying yank…. he ruined the Extra!

gamer tv was superb, the “american” you refer to was also good, but not suited to anything other than the skateboarding shows he has done previously. i think the market is now wide open for a new game program. maybe the peeps who do gadget tv should do something. or better yet … bring back dominic diamond and gamesmaster!

  4. To be fair, if the same team is working on something new, what we’ve got here is more like a re-branding between series’ than a cancellation.

I don’t know why they bothered with this new show, the format is almost identical, one main show, a supplement show, and a guide show. The new announcer is annoying too, they really should have stuck with Gamer.TV.
