During his latest weekly podcast, Major Nelson has confirmed that Microsoft will be kicking of a new ‘Deal of the Week’ promotion starting tomorrow (Feb 23rd). The deal will see many downloadable items from the Xbox Live Marketplace get their price cut for a week.
The first item to see a price cut will be Jonathan Blow’s Braid, which will retail for 800MP for a week starting Febuary 23rd. We gave Braid 10/10 in our review last year, which is a good indication that it is worth a download at this new price if you have not picked it up already.
In the podcast, the good Major goes onto mention that the Ninja Gaiden 2 add-on pack, the PGR4 add-on pack, and Fable on Xbox Originals will get similar deals in future weeks, but he does not mention how much will be cut from their price.
These sales will only be available to Xbox Live Gold members. Feel free to bitch now if that annoys you greatly.

Braid was worth every bit the of the original price so if anyone has yet to buy it this is the time.
Gold members only is a bit sneaky… I wish MS would drop this subscription system.

…I bought Braid two days ago. This makes me very angry. Very angry indeed.

Obviously they’re not gonna let silver members have the same opportunities as gold members. That’d just be bad business.
Besides, who the hell has a silver membership?
