Bionic Commando Rearmed rated 18

We did not expect this at all, but it seems that Bionic Commando Rearmed – Capcom’s reinvention of the 8-bit classic has been rated 18 by PEGI. PEGI themselves have not commented on the rating, but the ESRB in the US (who gave the game an “M”) revealed the high rating for the game was due to Capcom including an unaltered version of the somewhat violent ending from the original game in this new version.

“It was a tough decision to make, but it came down to either paying homage to the original game and taking the higher rating hit, or to watering down one of the most important scenes of the original,” Capcom commented in regards to the rating.
