Batman: Arkham Asylum officially pushed to “end of summer 2009” Update

Original Story: Game Informer report that although all signs point to work on Batman: Arkham Asylum been finished, it seems there is a chance Warner Bros could hold back the game’s release until the holiday season. This would be a rather big delay if true, as the game was previously set for a June 23rd release in Europe.
The site remarks that a source close to the game told them the release date was being pushed back until the fourth quarter of 2009.
To make things worse, Warner are neither confirming or denying they delay, and are staying quiet by just gave a “Sorry – no comment” reply to Game Informer when questioned – a relpy that always hints the questioned is up to something.
[Thanks, Game Informer]
Update: Warner Bros and Eidos are now officially sending out word that the game will be held back until “end of summer 2009.” No reason was given for the delay, although explanations could be hoping for better sales by selling in that new timeframe, or some extra time to polish things up a bit more may have been asked for by developer Rocksteady Studios.
