Atari to revive Hogs of War franchise

Does anyone else remember Hogs of War on the PlayStation and PC? It was a pretty nice alternative to Worms, but unfortunately the series never keep going after its first effort back in 2000. However, that is all set to change as Atari has just announced they will be continuing the franchise, and have revealed that Hogs of War 2 will be coming to the DS, Wii, PS2 and PC sometime later on in the year.

Not much is known about what the new game will offer, or if different platforms will have unique controls. However, it is likely that the series will continue the turn based nature of the original. Letting players use vehicles and stationary weapon emplacements will probably be back too. More so, the levels themselves will probably see an upgrade, improving from the water hazards and minefields of the first. We guess the First World War setting might be changed as well.
