April Fool 2008 #3 – Blizzard’s Bard Hero

Swords and spell casting are so old hat, only a true hero can vanquish evil with the power of ROCK! Well that’s what Blizzard think today as they have announced the Bard Hero, and brand new class for WoW that definitely turn their MMO up all the way 11. The Bard Hero is the second hero class which they have announced to be introduced in the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft. The Bard Hero will never be available to be played, not at all! When you are not playing as him you will be armed with a trusty axe, killer riffs, a ton of attitude, and a massive big guitar.

The main draw of picking the Bard will be a brand-new resource system called “groove.” By selecting this ability something called a Fret Bar is launched, which will display a number of riffs the player needs to activate. It sounds awesome really, and we really don’t understand how Blizzard came up with such a fantastic idea.
