[intro][quote:bc4806e970="Yamcha"]You could always buy a £3 USB keyboard…[/quote:bc4806e970]
I have one, and it’s a pain in the ass (not literally). I like the advantages of this, namely that it is wireless and always to hand, which can’t be said of a USB keyboard really.
However the price could be off putting, plus the fact that I probably wouldn’t want to use MSN on my 360 anyway.
Strange thought – would this also be able to plug into the Guitar? It has a standard port. That would be… odd.

Typing ain't easy[/intro]
To go hand in had with the upcoming spring update for the Xbox360 Microsoft have announced they will be releasing a snap-on keyboard for the 360. The keyboard will no doubt infinitely help make Windows Live Messenger much easier to use when it becomes available with the consoles in the upcoming update. The keyboard will most likely be also able to be used when entering save/profile/character names if you really do find the text-window interface to clumsy to use.
It really does seem like a good idea to release a small attachment like this and it is a much better idea than releasing a separate official keyboard. If the picture does not make it apparent the attachment snaps onto the bottom of the controller through the headset jack and features a QWERTY-style key layout with 47 keys.
The keyboard has not been priced or given a solid release date as of yet.

OMFG roflpops now that is stupid, why would you need a keyboard, I don't think I have ever needed to type when playing the Xbox apart from things like names.
Also, I will admit it does look rather cool and a nice deisgn

But you can now use Windows Live Messenger on Xbox Live so it could definately help.
I'm excpecting it to be around £50. Especially with Microsoft's uncanny nack to rip people off.

that seems pretty stupid, if you are an experienced gamer what is the need for a keyboard. you should already be able ti type in names and such with the control stick
Thomas on Monday 9th April 2007 19:02:
I'd guess most people are able to type in that sorta stuff Anduril... it seems this addition is mostly for the likes people who want to use Windows Live Messenger or play games which needs excessive typing like PSO and FFXI.

I'd get this if it was less that 20 quid. Any more, and not a chance. I mean I can send PMs using the guitar controller, that's how skilled I am :D
