All aboard – Train Valley steams for full release on September 16th

It looks like everything is running like the Japanese transport system at Flazm Interactive Entertainment and Oroboro Games, two independent development studios from Lithuania and Russia, as the announced that Train Valley, their railway management game for PC, Mac and Linux, is steaming towards full release on September 16th for a tasty price of £6.99. That’s half the price of a large pizza from a certain popular pizza chain.

Initially released on Steam’s Early Access platform as a feature limited game back in May 2015, the development team has spent the intervening months working hard to introduce a number of new features, rebalancing, fixing bugs  and introducing one new season and six new levels with the Japan region.

Supported initially by over 10,000 players on Steam Greenlight and nominated for multiple game awards, Train Valley seems to be doing the right things, as the game currently has a “Very Positive” rating on the platform. Steam user unclekrusty says “The gameplay is pretty fun and addictive; although it might be easy enough at times, at other times it can actually be pleasantly challenging,” while Bromeo adds “If Cities:Skylines and Mini Metro had a baby it might look like this.” That comment certainly has me perked to try the game.

Train Valley allows you to manage and construct the railway network of your dreams, building railways, managing traffic and endeavouring to stay accident-free. Play in Europe, America, Japan and USSR from the years 1830 all the way through to 2020, from the Gold Rush of 1849 to the first manned space flight in the latter half of the 20th century and everything else in between.
