All 360 SKU’s Get Euro Price Cut

After the US getting their 360 price drop earlier in the month (after a hell of a lot of speculation), Microsoft have announced that Europe will now see a similar price cut. Firstly, the Premium 360, which includes a 20GB hard drive and one wireless controller, will be reduced by €50 and will now retail at €349.99/£249.99. Also, the entry-level Xbox 360 Core console, which in my opinion no one should ever buy, and Microsoft should drop as soon as possible will see a small €20 cut and drop to £179.99/279.99. Hopefully that does not influence many people to get it, as it is not worth it in the long run. Finally, MS announced that the Xbox 360 Elite will carry an estimated retail price of €449.99/£299.99 when it launches in Europe this Friday, 24th August. This will no doubt be of interest for those that always have to get the best of the best.

Also the price for a number of new peripherals have been announced with the new 120GB HDD retailing at €179.99/£129.99. The Black Wireless Controller will set you back €44.99/£32.99. The Black Play and Charge Kit is €19.99/£14.99 and finally the Black Rechargeable Battery Pack sees a price of €14.99/£9.99.

All of the above prices, as well as the official price cut will go into affect on 24th August; the same day the Elite gets released in Europe.
