Activision remain coy on adding more GH instruments

When questioned on the possibility of adding other instruments to the Guitar Hero franchise during their latest conference call Activision publishing president Mike Griffith remained coy on the possibility. Even though he was directly questioned about the subject by an analyst he pretty much dodged the question, instead commenting about where the series is going as a whole.
“We’ve put a lot of additional development resources, a lot of additional music licenses resources, a lot of additional hardware supplier resources against the title to fuel growth over next year,” he remarked.
“We’re excited by the increased musical content and innovation we’re bringing. We do expect a leap forward in innovation with our holiday launch, and we’re about two weeks away from providing very specific details on that.”
Later on in the confrence Robert A. Kotick, Chairman of the Board at the company went on to say “I think we’ll make a pretty comprehensive announcement in a couple of weeks about what the next step innovation is on the brand and I think that will provide some additional clarity” when they were questioned on Guitar Hero again. However, no mention was made if that innovation would come in the form of new peripherals.

They’ll probably wait to see how much of a debacle Rock Band will be in Europe, then release their own version at the compellingly low low price of £150!!!!
