Activision looking to create original content for Wii

In an interview with Reuters, which mostly focused on how the company was handling the current economy woes, Robert Kotick, CEO, president, and a board member at Activision, has commented that the company should, and will be giving the Wii more attention further down the line.

In the past we approached the Wii as an extension of what we were doing on PlayStation and the Xbox and I think we can do a better job of creating original content for the Wii, and I think you’ll see more of that this year,” comments Robert Kotick when questioned

Since the launch of the console, Activision have not publish one exclusive game for the Wii, with most efforts being a scaled-down version of what is available elsewhere. However, the Guitar Hero series has done rather well on Wii for the company – particularly in the US.
