Nine Rock Band 2 songs revealed?

The US gaming show X-play has shown Rock Band 2 being played for the first time on a recent episode of their show. Interestingly, the video showed a list of eleven songs from the games set list. Two of these songs were current DLC, and had a star beside them to signify so.

The other nine however had a “2” icon beside them which seems to indicate they will be released as songs on the disc of Rock Band 2. Those nine songs are as follows (by the way, only the song names were listed, so we are testing our musical knowledge by guessing the band names ourselves).

  • “Panic Attack” by The Paddingtons (maybe Dream Theater)
  • “Chop Suey” by System Of A Down
  • “Give It Away” by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
  • “Everlong” by Foo Fighters
  • “Kids in America” by Kim Wilde
  • “Ace of Spades” by Motörhead
  • “Hello There” by Cagedbaby
  • “Any Way You Want It” by Journey
  • “Pinball Wizard” by The Who

However, don’t get too excited though, as if you remember back to when the original Rock Band first got shown we all saw Welcome to the Jungle been played in the game, and that song still has not been made available. As such, we should consider no song confirmed until Harmonix say so themselves. However, it is nice to see a selection of songs they are aiming to include.
