360′s Most Played Of 2006 Revealed

The all knowing and possibly celestial Major Nelson – we really are running out of words to describe him every time we steal a bit of news – has posted yet another update to his blog which talks about the 360 most played titles during the course of 2006. The post covers both retail games and XBLA titles. As you can see below the top of the overall list looks just as you would expect with the 360′s big release of 2006 – Gears Of War – sitting atop of the pile. Intrestingly Hexic HD is the next most played – we guess pople love free stuff. Another intresting note after a quick glance at the numbers is the much awaited Lumines Live sits at the very bottom of the XBLA list… maybe all that money grabbing did not pay of, eh?

To clear up any confusion with the numbers Major Nelson states “UU’s is the number of Gamertags that have played a game. In the case of Arcade titles, that list is ranked by purchased games. That is why the Arcade titles may be ranked out of order on the top list. Some Arcade titles may be purchased by one Gamertag, but played by multiple Gamertags.”
