Assassin’s Creed III pre-orders break Ubisoft records

Today, Ubisoft announced that pre-orders for AAA title Assassin’s Creed III has broken records for Ubisoft North America. The title has received more pre-orders than any other AC released thus far.

I’m personally not surprised, as hype levels seem to be outrageous.

Tony Key, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Ubisoft stated, “On October 30th players will experience the biggest game launch in Ubisoft’s history with the highly anticipated release of Assassins Creed III.”

He also goes on to mention that the new setting and hero [Connor] will “make this the perfect time to jump into the series for anyone that has not previously played an Assassin’s Creed game.”

Color me mildly excited.
